Thermophysical, rheological and electrical properties of mono and hybrid TiB2/B4C nanofluids based on a propylene glycol:water mixture

Hybrid nanofluids aim to further improve the characteristics of mono nanofluids. However, experimental studies that jointly explore physical properties hybrids and corresponding are missing. In this work, B4C TiB2 hybrid TiB2:B4C nanoadditives used for first time design based on propylene glycol:water 20:80 wt%. The density, isobaric heat capacity, thermal conductivity determined by oscillating U-tube, differential scanning calorimetry, transient hot wire methods, respectively. rheological behaviour is investigated through rotational rheometry. Additionally, surface tension electrical investigated. nanofluid shows highest improvements (6.0%) (70 times higher), but also viscosity increases (51–54%). presents intermediate values between those all except dynamic viscosity. Interactions spherical sheet-like nanoparticles explain behaviour.
